Tips on Receiving TESOL Emails

Once you've opted in to receive TESOL emails in your profile under Communications Preferences, there are additional steps we recommend taking to ensure you receive our emails:

  1. Add our from email addresses to your email client address book: info@tesol.org, members@tesol.org, learn@tesol.org, conventions@tesol.org, and publications@tesol.org.

This tells the inbox that it should expect to receive emails coming from that address. Each email client has a different process for adding email addresses, which can be found in their help documentation.

  2. Request that your IT/Email team add tesol.org to their allowlist (if it is a work email address).

This tells your email server that it should expect to receive emails from any from address containing our domain (e.g., tesol.org).

  3. Open and click links in emails you receive from TESOL.

This tells the inbox to trust emails coming from this address and email sending domain. An email client is always learning; if you continue to open and click on TESOL's emails, your email client will learn to accept those emails in the future.

  4. Move TESOL's emails found in your SPAM/junk folder back to the inbox.

This tells the inbox where to place that email in the future and improves TESOL's sender reputation.

If you follow these steps and still are having trouble receiving TESOL emails, please reach out to us at members@tesol.org.
