This is a writing activity to generate a three-paragraph descriptive essay.

Objective:

This activity will help students generate and organize paragraphs with descriptive details. It can be used in several contexts, and I have used it with great results as an evaluation for a civics lesson on the history of immigration. 

This activity can be done either in class or as a homework assignment. Students can work together in pairs to peer edit and read their work aloud.
