Listening practice

by Amany AlKhayat |

This website (http://listen-and-write.com/) is one of the excellent websites I use with my students who have difficulties in listening. The website has levels that start from zero to 23. Students can also listen and watch YouTube files on the website. Students can also register in the website to save, share their audio files and improve their listening skill.

This website can foster individualization of learning in and outside the classroom. The teacher should ask the students to create accounts on this website. Then she can assign weak students to listen to listening passages in the lower levels and assign the rest of the class other listening passages depending on their proficiency levels. Students can save the media files, share them to discuss the main ideas and supporting details in the text. (Peer feedback and assessment).
