AWL Master

The AWL Master is an app (on iTunes and Google Play) that helps students learn, practice and master the academic word list.  They work on pronunciation, syllable division, meaning and collocations.

Materials And Technology:

As a classroom teacher, I saw a huge gap with students actually using academic vocabulary correctly, and in the right context. So, I worked for a year to develop the AWL Master. It allows students to learn, practice and master words on the Academic Word List in a game like environment. My students have been using it for a short time, but I already see them using new words in free writing, essays and presentations.
