TESOL International Association Commits to Tampa, Florida, USA, for 2024 Convention

TESOL International Association, after careful consideration of its mission, its commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access, and its representation of the English language teaching community, will move forward in hosting the TESOL 2024 International Convention and English Language Expo in Tampa, Florida, USA, 21- 23 March.

The decision supports our host affiliate Sunshine State TESOL, positions TESOL as a leading voice for English language educators and students, and honors our contractual obligations.

TESOL’s conferences professional council will work closely with TESOL’s director of advocacy and public policy and TESOL’s head of education and events to implement meaningful ways to support educators and learners impacted by Florida legislation that challenges academic freedom and culturally relevant teaching.

TESOL is a diverse and inclusive community of language educators with different perspectives. As such, we commit to creating spaces for members to engage in respectful dialogue on matters impacting educators and learners. We look forward to bringing our community together in support of Florida’s English language educators and students.
