TESOL Global Membership Renewal Support

In 2005 Steve Hanchey, a TESOL member, then stationed in Egypt, made an initial donation in honor of the contributions made by Dr. Lizabeth England through her work as an outstanding TESOL profession. He asked that the donation be used in a way that maximized the recognition of both the donation and Dr. England's work. A global membership fund was created using these initial funds, since then TESOL has solicited donations on an ongoing basis to supplement and continue this program. In 2023, then president Joyce Kling, sponsored a fund our future campaign designated to this account in lieu of a presidents award.

Current TESOL members in good standing may apply for support to renew their TESOL membership from this fund. Renewing individuals are asked to pay what they can and apply for a waiver of the remaining TESOL global membership dues.
