  • TESOL Joins 160 Organizations for Increased Title III ESEA Funding for FY25: In a joint letter to the U.S. House and Senate Appropriation Committees, TESOL and other organizations called for $2 billion in funding for Title III of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).

  • TESOL Announces Search for New Executive Director: On 21 May, the TESOL board of directors announced it launched the search for our next executive director with the assistance of Sterling Martin Associates (SMA), a highly respected search firm in the nonprofit space.

  • TESOL and Africa ELTA Lead a Leadership Training Workshop in North Africa: At the end of May, TESOL was pleased to host with Africa ELTA a leadership training workshop in Cairo, Egypt, the day prior to Africa ELTA's conference. More than 50 English language teaching (ELT) professionals from 24 African countries gathered to learn about organizational leadership and develop an action plan for their local ELT organizations.

  • Apply to Serve on the TESOL Board or Nominating Committee! Make a difference for learners and colleagues around the world by serving on the board or Nominating Committee. If you’re interested, please carefully review the position requirements and submit the online Expression of Interest (EOI) form by 30 June 2024.

  • New Panel Added to Advocacy Action Days! If you’re planning to advocate for yourself, your learners, and the English language teaching field at TESOL Advocacy Action Days next month, we are excited to announce a new panel on 22 July with stakeholders on their work with passing the CALL Act.
