Charge

The Diversity Committee will focus attention on inclusiveness throughout the association; identify internal and external strategies, concerns, and recommendations to integrate inclusiveness within TESOL; align inclusiveness with TESOL’s strategic plan; monitor and evaluate diversity efforts; and bring any issues or concerns to the Board.

Responsibilities

The committee will give voice to TESOL members from historically underrepresented and marginalized groups; monitor and evaluate diversity efforts; and bring any issues or concerns to the Board. Committee members are expected to attend the Annual Convention and participate in committee meetings. During the year, members provide support for ongoing projects as requested by the Chair.

Qualifications

All committee members must be current TESOL members. The committee must represent the diversity of the larger TESOL membership.
